GORILLAMAXX R/C is a family owned web-based business established in 2001 that manufactures and retails a line of performance hop-ups, specifically designed for TRAXXAS® Maxx^TM and Revo^TM trucks. Unlike many other similar parts manufacturers, we exclusively focus on these kits and their users. Our primary mission is to use this business as a vehicle for researching and developing unique custom parts for these trucks. Our sales revenue is reinvested in the company, and covers cost for the development of our next "new product". In order to stay competitive with larger manufacturers, we rely on our reputation and YOUR support. We sincerely hope you will consider GORILLAMAXX parts for your next Maxx^TM upgrade. You won't find re-stamped versions of the stock components here. Our parts are completely unique and are designed to transform your Maxx^TM or Revo^TM into a truly custom truck; A truck that will look, and perform very differently. We take our design seriously and refuse to make a part that doesn't address both form and function. For example, we went through three prototype designs, prior to bringing the X-Brace concept to market; each time making improvements in its assembly, its strength, its adaptability and its appearance. This design philosophy will be carried out through our entire line. We do not mass produce and therefore, you wont find our parts in every hobby store. We cater to enthusiasts that appreciate quality, innovation and performance. I'm sure you will appreciate the attention to detail and the refinements made for both appearance as well as function in all of our parts.

We have been exploring various methods of producing our products, and have determined the CNC machining, though not the least expensive method, was the only way to achieve the precision and quality we demand from our parts. This is certainly not a new idea in the industry, but since we do all of our own product design using 3D CAD, we are able to test and evaluate our ideas in several variations digitally prior to cutting even the first prototypes. Furthermore, with CNC cutting technology, we are able to produce direct-fit components that consistently reflect the highest level of craftsmanship and accuracy.
Our parts are cut from top grade 6061 T6 aluminum alloy which has become the industry standard for RC aluminum parts. MatWeb.com is a good web site if you're interested in the technical specifications of this and other alloys. We use a multi-step finishing process for our aluminum parts which includes tumbling in a custom media to produce a smooth consistent finish followed by a scotch-bright surface finish. For those who really want shine, we recommend using an aluminum polishing wax, like Mothers^TM for that finishing touch - you'll be amazed at the results.
